Welcome to our First Day!

Hi. I’m so glad you found us today! Welcome to the first day of this blog! I want to tell you how this blog came to be. I have wanted a blog since February, and I have been praying about it. At first, I thought it would be a blog for beginner card makers. I wanted it to be about 70% card-making and 30% about my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Well, I started to think about that. Jesus is the center of my life, right? Then why would He get only 30% of the time on the blog? It was then that I decided I would have a blog totally centered on Him and His wonderful gift of Salvation for us!

I should tell you a bit about me. I am disabled. I have been for over 12 years now. I have problems in my back, my neck and my shoulder, all from injuries. Because of these serious injuries I cannot drive. I cannot attend church--too long of a drive-and I can’t sit that long. Fortunately, my church has services on-line and taped for people who don’t get out much…like me. Sadly, I can not participate in the different ministries. I am on a prayer thread with some wonderful women at SplitCoastStampers. Of course, that is a ministry. I wanted to participate in a ministry that I could do from home that would reach people for Him and His Kingdom. So, I prayed some more.

A friend of mine had a blog that did a card give-away every week. She is an excellent artist, and made her own cards. I loved her ministry. She needed to stop her blogging, because other opportunities had opened up for her. She gave me her blessing to do a blog similar to hers. I am so grateful for that!

I like to make cards, but because of my health, I cannot make enough cards to support a card give-away blog! I prayed and prayed. I asked some friends to send cards for the blog. I heard every real reason why they couldn’t help at that time. I just wanted to make sure that the Lord was really giving me the green light. After praying over a couple of days, I knew I had the green light. I left my prayer time with the strong belief that this was to be His Blog...not mine. That this was to be a blog for everyone who desires an opportunity to serve Him and others. That first week, I received 53 cards!!!!!!!!!! I was amazed....and I believed for sure that I was on the right track. When I was worried about people not sending cards...I talked with a friend from my prayer group. She basically said, “Do you want to walk in Faith, or just stop?” Well, I decided to take that walk. He has been so wonderful and loving, and forgiving, and gave me such a beautiful gift of being with Him for eternity...how could I not take this leap of faith? I want to do this blog until I pass away, or until I hear that trumpet sound, and we are all changed, and rise up to heaven together! I have been praying for Him to remind me to keep my head small.

This whole blog is about Him, and not me. I hope you will let me know if you feel I am “getting too big for my britches.” I hope this blog will encourage Christians and share Him and His love and grace with non-Christians. I feel it will be worth the effort if even one soul gets saved...even if I don't know.

So, there you have it…the reason this blog was started! Now, I guess you are wondering how you could win this card? All you will need to do this week is leave a comment about the card or the blog. Next Tuesday night, I will have a comment randomly chosen. That person will win the card on display.

The cards are made by artists from all over the world. A new card will be shared each Wednesday. The cards are blank on the inside, so that you can write any encouraging message to a person who loves the Lord already, someone who isn’t feeling close to Him right now, someone who is feeling alone, or someone who isn’t a Christian. It is up to you. An envelope and postage will be included. That’s it!

So, leave a comment while you are here…and be sure to stop back next Wednesday to see if you have won. There will be another post on Monday. I am so glad that you have stopped by this blog. I hope that we reach our mission…

To Share His Word, His Love, His Gift of Salvation through Card Give Aways!

He IS Able,
