BIG News Announced and Winner of the "Card of the Week" is Announced!

Hi Friends~

I am happy to say I am home recuperating from a busy trip. It takes me a while, due to my physical condition.  It was so nice spending time with family.  We saw Dave's dad, sister, brother-in-law, niece (you may have seen her art on this blog before!) and a nephew in Maryland.  It seems that we could never spend enough time with them, and the rest of our family.  I have held you in my thoughts and prayers.  Church was amazing, and I learned so much. I will be sharing that with you another time.  And, after a partial day of sleep, I come to you with some exciting news!  Please be sure to read today's entire blog post...as it involves you.

Today you will find:
  • Scriptures:  Matthew 18:20, 1 John 3:22, James 5:15-16, 1 Thessalonians 5: 17-18
  • BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
  • Winner of the "Card of the Week" Announced!
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name. I am there in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20

It has been a month since the He IS Able blog invited Michele G. to lead our Bible Study on Biblical Women.  The second segment of "Precious Women of God--This Includes You!" will be posted on Friday!  This is a very unique look at Eve!

Today I have the honor to tell you about another addition to this blog.  Starting today, we will be taking Prayer Requests from you!  This blog is here to learn and share and encourage each other with our walk with Christ...and to bring non-Believers to Him.  How could we do this without prayer?

I have asked Joan to be our Prayer Team Leader and she was happy to accept.  I know her from SplitCoastStampers.  We are on the same prayer thread there. I have known her for about a year, and she is a faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ.   I know that she is a prayer warrior.  She will lead the Team by passing on your requests and needs to other members and they will pray over them, they will also pray for those of us associated with the blog, that we will discern what the Lord wants us to share,  they will encourage each other and pray for each other, pray over the card recipients of the Card of the Week random drawing and many other behind the scenes needs.

"And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight."
 1 John 3:22

How do you share your prayer requests?  Simply leave them in the comment section...or if it is more private, please email your need or request to me, and I will pass it on to the Prayer Team.  (Emailed messages do not qualify you for the "Card of the Week" drawing, any message prayer requests included will enter you in the drawing.)  Joan knows the importance of confidentiality, and she will be sure that the Team does also.  Please be sure to let us know if your request is confidential, and don't leave confidential requests in the comment section. Please let us know as prayers are answered or if needs change. As guests share their requests it will also offer you the chance to lift them up!

Currently, I am looking for others that would want to serve in this very important way.  If you are interested, please let me know, and we will share a few email conversations together.

This is an important area of this blog.  Please welcome Joan,a Christian, prayer warrior, mother, wife, grand-mother, friend, confidant to the He IS Able Blog Team.  Welcome Joan!

"And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.  And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.  The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."  James 5:15-16

Winner of the "Card of the Week" Announced!
Congratulations to Susan M.!  Susan you have won the card on the side bar this week!  You were randomly chosen to receive this card, and you were entered when you left a comment before Tuesday 8pm.  Please email me before Tuesday 8pm with your mailing address.  If you live in the U.S.  I will be happy to mail it to you.  If per chance, you live out of the country, I have several other ways for you to get your card or still utilize it!  If I don't hear from you before Tuesday 8pm, I will need to put the card back in the He IS Able blog's card stash.

Here is Susan's comment:

Your husband will be sooo pleased with his card it is beautiful!

Thank you so much for your very encouraging comment, Susan.  Dave did like it.  Not much bling on it...and he is happy! lol

"Pray without ceasing, in everything giving thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."  1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

Have a blessed week.  Remember--Friday is "Precious Women of God--This Includes You!" Day!  We hope you will join us!

He IS Able,
Traci S.
