2 Cards Given Away Today! Winner Announced!

Happy Wednesday, Friends!  Today we are giving away 2 cards to one fortunate He IS Able Card of the Week Winner!  Why two?  Because I was not here last week to post a winner...and I announced on Friday that we would give both cards to one winner!  I admit that I have had a challenge connecting with the blog since writing last Friday.  I was so brutally honest, so vulnerable...and so scared.  I am feeling more like myself today, and I am back.  Thank you for your patience with me.  This is an important time in my life.

I thank each of you who left comments that were so heartfelt  and full of ideas to help me through the next 4 years that Josh will be in the Air Force,  They talked about friendship and they talked about trusting in God.  I received emails from some of my close friends, and received Devotions, Scriptures, stories and ideas...and prayers.  And, I was just overwhelmed with love.  Thank you to each of you.  I was really a mess trying to figure every little detail in advance--as if I could...what if Josh was sent to Japan and fell in love with a woman so far away?  What if Josh was hurt?  What if...What if...What if...

What if I trusted in God for everything, and was willing to wait in His time?  The perfect answer.  What if I wasn't the answer...but He was?  Perfect answer!

There was a comment that was posted today that I want to bring to all of your attention.  One of our guests, Cathy is going through a VERY difficult time.  She has been asking for prayer for her family's situation for quite a while...and the next time, their was another family member with a life or death need, and another person close to her has their life on the line.  So, PLEASE read her most current post...and pray for her and the people in her post.  That is why we have guests list prayer needs in the comment section.  So, that we can pray for them, and so hopefully you will, also.  This is an exact quote from Cathy--except the purple part.

--"By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35)

I left an update and another critical prayer request yesterday and it has disappeared and it isn't on here. (I don't know what happened to it, Cathy...it never showed up here. But, we are praying now.)

Our Pastor had a serious stroke Monday morning. They said there is nothing they can do and they don't have much hope. We know that strength and hope comes from God!! Yesterday we got a phone call that his brain was swelling and they were going to remove some of his skull. We later got a call to say the swelling is going down and they wouldn't do a surgery. They say they can't go in and get the blood clot and they can't dissolve it.

Rod's Mom is still with us. The miracle here is she isn't in any pain Praise God! She is very frail and she can go at any time.

My Mom was returned to the hospital from the care facility. They have given her about 13 pints of blood in the last 2 weeks. Finally they think they've found the source. There are lots of problems and I know God can and does heal. She needs her strength back so she can endure physical therapy.

The enemy has been stirring up conflict and division on our families. The tension is thick.

I've leaned heavy on this group, but cherish the prayers that are lifted up and the encouragement I've read here. Thank you for praying, we cherish each and every one and that is what is getting us through this. Blessings~

We hope these Scriptures will bring any of you who need it, peace and comfort:

--"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope."  (Romans 15:4)

--"For as the rain comes down, and the snow from Heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth;  it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I have sent."  (Isaiah 55:10-11)_________________________
