Getting Cards Out

Hi Friends~

We are still going through pretty bad storms I have to unplug my computer or it may be zapped by lightning.

I do remember my promise of sending a card to anyone who left a comment with a quote from a mother from the Bible.  Please send me your mailing address if you left a comment before Tuesday at midnight...and I will mail you a card.  Please send your address to my email:

Tomorrow is the day I will announce the Winner of the He IS Able Card Set Give-Away.  You could win up to 5 cards if you left a comment before Tuesday at stop by.  I also have some very interesting reading on the Beatitudes to share with you.

I will get it done if I have to type one sentence at a time between storms!  I apologize.  I have fallen behind in getting cards out to some of you.  I will get them packaged up today and out to you by tomorrow.

By the way, what Bible version do you use? Please let me know in the comment section.

He IS Able!

  1. My aunt/God Mother gave me my first Bible when I was confirmed. I was a King James version, and I still have it. About 15 years ago when I attended Bible Study Fellowship, I bought myself an NIV (New INternational Version) Study Bible. This is the Bible I use exclusively now.

  2. My very first Bible was a King James Version (given to me by the person who led me to the Lord). That was 37 years ago, and I literally wore it out. I, like "seamom," began attending Bible Study Fellowship (years and years ago before going to the mission field) and started using a New International Study Bible because that was their Bible of choice. I have found that this is an easy to understand version, especially when teaching internationally (when English is a second language). And, sadly, this Bible is now also falling apart (and has to be rubber-banded together). My kids tell me I need a new Bible - but, even though I am blessed to have other versions to use as reference (such as the Amplified Bible, New American Standard Version, KJV, NKJV), I still use my worn NIV daily. You know how it is - I have things marked, and know what page what I want is on, etc. I guess it's like the perverbial well-worn sweater you can't bear to part with. It's a dear friend.

Thank you so much for leaving your thoughts, ideas, prayer requests and comments! We love to read them all! And, if you had a prayer request, the Prayer Team will begin praying for your needs today. God Bless!
