Hi Everyone~
PDCC#57 |
I hope you are ready for an exciting day! We have not one but 2 great give-aways today! I had to stop and take a time out this this week. I was so busy making cards, working on the Card Drive for the American Cancer Society and trying to get some gifts when I realized I had cut my time with the Lord to bed time, and prayer time for people on my prayer list to a minute hear and there. Not what I wanted! Not what I should be giving to the Lord! He is SO Worthy! He deserves as much time with Worship that I can give, and I love to pray for the people on my list. I didn't want to rush through it. I took this morning off and spent some time with the Lord. I feel so much better. I had time to be silent. I had time to Praise Him, time to ask for advice! He IS Able...and Mighty...and Worthy...and Magnificent...and more. Please learn from my lesson. Adjust your schedules if need be.
The card you see on the top right is made for the Play Date Cafe Challenge. I told you that I tried out for that Design Team, they are trying to let everyone know if they made it this week. I will let you know when I find out! The Lord knows what is best...I'll wait. This week they challenged us to use the brown, grey and silver. Brown...easy to find...easy to use. I added some chocolate colored glitter by PK Glitz over the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink that served as the ground. I used some spiral paperclips given from a friend, as the flower buds, and my Sakura Gel Grey Pen for leaves and stems, the Butterfly...is the star of the show! I found her next door in the garage sale for a quarter! I added some Silver Stickles and her wings were already different shades of brown! Great purchase! I cut a cloud of grey dp from 3Birds, and stamped a Sentiment by Mother Teresa from a SU! Stamp set named "Butterfly of Happiness." Let's hope they like it! I do.
Surprise coming on Wednesday...
He IS Able,
Traci S.
OK--Surprise time! First let me thank each of you who have been able to send cards for the Card Drive I am doing for the American Cancer Society. I needed 50 sets by the 8th of this month...we are only 20 sets away! Congratulations on pulling together and we are almost at our goal. I thank my friends who also posted this on their blogs and such. We will make this goal! Don't worry if we go over the goal...I need 100 sets on hand for the BIG April Event! (I need the cards by Mid-March.) All details are on the side bar. I thank each of you whether you were able to donate at this time...or not. I can say we are in need of about 300 size A2 envelopes...not square...at this time...otherwise, I will be making some serious envelopes. Look how the Lord is providing! He provides in such a big way! Thank you Lord Jesus!
(I apologize for how late this blog is being posted today. I have had no Internet power for quite a while!)
Surprise Time!! (I wish I could add glitter to my typed words...because this is great!)
Who likes Contemporary Christian Music? Who likes singing along at the top of their voices when you don't think someone else can hear? Who likes praising the Lord through Music? Who knows at least one Scripture about Singing for Joy to the Lord? My friends, you are going to be thrilled!!!!!!

I have been fortunate to come into contact with Ash2Ash!!!! I know you have heard of them! Their new CD has such a great name. It is also the name of an awesome song on the CD. It is called, "He Will Meet You Where You Are" Isn't that so moving? Great name! Super Song! It is so true! I have been listening to their music every day for a month or more...it is really great!
Ash2Ash: "He Will Meet You Where You Are" is their 4th CD! Here is a little info on their music:
"This CD transitions Ash2Ash to its new, fuller sound in the contemporary gospel genre. Features 10 songs -- 9 original works and Ash2Ash's much-requested "Mainline" medley. This CD features Ray Jones and Terry Metz. "
Just think about the names of these songs...and how they fit with your relationship with the Lord!
1 - Celebrate 2 - Stand Up 3 - Never Alone 4 - Still Worthy
5 - He Is Lord 6 - Jesus, I Love You So 7 - It's About Time
8 - So Hard 9 - Mainline Medley 10 - He Will Meet You Where You Are
I tell you their Mission Statement is so personal, so meaningful. Here it is:
"Our mission is to lift up the name of our Lord Jesus Christ by sharing God’s love through testimony and song. Our Prayer is that our music will touch the hearts of the lost and strengthen Christians in their faith."

(I am so grateful for all of the guests who stop by the He IS Able blog.
I must admit that due to finances, and my not being able to drive to the post office. This is available to US addresses only. If you have family or friends here, I will be happy to mail it to them, with a note with your words...that you can email to me. It could be a Holiday Gift for them, or perhaps they have a package ready to go your way, and they could send it. I do appreciate you! I know there are a lot of you! I just really can not make it happen right now, anyway. I hope you will understand, and not let this stop you from stopping by, or leaving comments...or sharing your thoughts. Sadly, this applies to all give-aways. Thank you for understanding my position. May God bless each of you. )

Ash2Ash CD Give Aways....2 winners...AND, the "Card of the Week" Give-Away! Just be sure to have your comments in by the mentioned day and time!
I pray that you are spending time with the Lord, and not being dictated as to what to do by a list of things wanting your time. What a way for the evil one to get us from "Turning our Eyes Upon Jesus." Don't be tricked. I care. That's why I say the things I do.
A HUGE thank you to Ash2Ash for their CD's and incredible music! And, for letting me quote sections of their website! Thank you, thank you! Please share some of your He IS Able love by visiting their website: Ash2Ash.
And a HUGE thank you to the many artists who have over the last 5 months--donated cards for the He IS Able blog! Thank you so much! You are never forgotten! Those are the cards given for the "Card of the Week," as well as when we have special card give-aways. (And, yes, we turned 5 months old on the 30th!!! Congratulations! Praise the Lord! He IS Able,
Traci S.
What a wonderful sentiment on a lovely card. Thanks for playing along with us at the Play Date Cafe!
ReplyDeleteNice card Traci. Thanks for the reminder to not forget time with the Lord in the business of our days.
ReplyDeleteLove your little butterfly! There are times it is so easy to allow our time with our Father to be put on hold or not putting Him first in our day, I've done that more times that I'd like to admit. i can get so distracted by things and what needs to be done. I have a friend that encourages me not to get into the guilts, but that He is waiting for me and to start again. I'm so grateful for His grace and His mercy!
ReplyDeleteBlessings Traci~
Great use of glitter for the ground! And very clever for the flowers--spiral paperclips! I also think you found the deal of the year with that butterfly for a quarter! Love it:) Thanks so much for playing along and joining in the fun over at the PDCC!!
ReplyDeleteTurning spiral paperclips into flowers is truly inspired! Thanks so much for playing along in the play date cafe this week :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of spiral clips, why didn't I think of that lol. Lovely! Sorry, I'm a bit late in getting around to comment on everyone's blogs, but thanks for playing along with us last week at the PDCC!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog, Traci. It is so full of inspiration, both spiritually and artisticly. It's like you have always been a friend! I do love the music of our faith - the old hymns, praise music, and the contemporary songs of this day. God bless you, Traci! ...and I thank you.
ReplyDeleteWe’re a group of volunteers and starting a brand new initiative in a community. Your weblog supplied us valuable information to work on. You have done a marvellous work!
ReplyDeleteTraci- thanks for helping me to stay focused on the Lord.
ReplyDeleteTraci, I'm so pleased to have happened upon your blog and see what a beautiful, God-loving person you are! My husband has been a gospel musician for almost 35 years, and I would be happy to see if their group would donate a CD (it's Southern Gospel), if you are interested. I pray blessings on you and yours!
ReplyDeleteTraci thanks for picking me as the winner of the card. :) I am so excited :). Cant wait to get it in the mail. And I am with you on not spending the time that I NEED to in prayer. I also dont want to feel rushed when I pray I want to pray for specifics to make sure that I get what I want out to the Lord. I really enjoyed the Ash2Ash music. Isnt the wife of this group??? on SCS??? Susan Ferrell Jones? stampinGoodDeeds if this is the same person?? It may not be, but I do a lot of swaps with her. But anyway hope your doing good, loving the music on your blog btw. :) HUGS girl
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Nikki. Yes, that's me from SCS! I'm so blessed to be married to Ray Jones of Ash2Ash Christian Music Ministry, and to be a part of Ash2Ash. We pray all of you will be blessed and encouraged in some way as you hear our music.
ReplyDeleteWatch for our new CD: Rise Up! which will be coming out in early 2011, and I'm sure Traci will receive a couple of those to give away as well!
Thanks, Traci, for sharing our music here as well and for all you do to encourage and inspire others!
God bless you all!
