Let's Praise the Lord! And, "The Trees of the Forest Will Sing--"

Hi Friends,

It is Friday, and to be honest, I have had a terrible week.  I would like today to be a day of praise to the Lord, even though we praise Him every day.  Let's praise Him for things BIG and small.  Let's encourage each other, and list one or many reasons why you want to Praise the Lord.

And, remember, anyone who leaves any comment, prayer request, or prayer, before Tuesday at 8pm (Eastern) is eligible to win not 1, but 2 of the "He IS Able Cards of the Week!"   We will continue to list the randomly chosen recipient on Wednesday, and we will continue sending 2 cards and postage until further notice.  Exciting!

I am going to list several Scriptures.  They will be about all different things which we may want to Praise Him for...or perhaps your reasons won't be found in this list.  I ask that you please read the list...without skimming over any words...you never know what will strike you.  And, please read it slowly.  These are Words from the Holy Bible...and deserve our respect, right?  I hope you enjoy this process as much as I will.

(I wish I was an artist, I would try to paint this first Scripture.)

"Let the Heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
 let them say among the nations,  "The Lord Reigns!"
Let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
 let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!
Then the trees of the forest will sing,
 they will sing for joy before the Lord,
for He comes to judge the earth,
 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
His love endures forever.
(1 Chronicles 16:31-34)

"Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing."
(Psalm 100:1-2)

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
to declare Your steadfast love in the morning,
and Your faithfulness by night,
to the music of the lute and the harp,
to the melody of the lyre.
For You, O Lord, have made me
glad by your work;
at the works of Your hands I sing for joy."
(Psalm 92:1-4)

And lastly for today, for those of us facing troubling times...

"On the day I called, You answered me;
You made me bold with strength in my soul...
For great is the glory of the Lord,
For though the Lord is exalted,
Yet He regards the lowly...
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
You will revive me;
You will stretch forth Your hand...
and Your right hand will save me."
(Psalm 138:3, 5-7)

  1. Today, I praise You Lord for "making me bold with strength in my soul...," I thank you for all of my blog friends who encourage me to no end, for this blog...it keeps me focused on you everyday...and for your Faithfulness and love...which I would not be able to recognize in my friends and family, if you did not set such an out-standing example. I praise You, Lord, for You!

  2. Hi Everyone~

    I want to let all of you know that our dear friend, Cathy, her MIL's funeral is today...and that Cathy and her husband are leading the services (at least temporarily) at church. They ask for prayers on both parts.

    As for Cathy's Mom, she is still in the hospital. If anyone would like to send her a Thinking of You card...something Cathy asked for...or a Sympathy card to Cathy and her family...please contact me via my email...(it is far down on the right side.) I have the addresses.

    Our prayers are being lifted up on their behalf.

    He IS Able,
    Traci S.

  3. I am praying for Cathy and her husband. They certainly have had a lot to deal with. Asking for God's guidance, assurance and peace for them.

    Please know that I am praying for all readers. Whether you have asked specifically for prayers or you have unspoken petitions.
    I am thankful that I am able to pray.
